Making my own aquarium plants. How can I make the base?
So, I bought some plastic plants from the store thinking I could put them in my 180 gallon having a hard time finding big plastic plants . Then it occurred to me that I would need some kind of rock base to silicone them in place. I have looked on the computer and tried to shop around, but I have found nothing. Is there any way I can just make my own? Maybe out of clay or something? Thanks

Hello Everyone,I have a 40 gallon long with many aquarium plants in it. Fall just began and I noticed they are starting to fade and break apart. They use indirect sunlight and have been flourishing for over a year and a half on that. Should I put in a flourescent light for August? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Will aquarium plants grow if they are under light 24/7?

Moss balls and other aquarium plants- good idear or not?
I have a 450L thank that will be housing Malawi Ciclids on Monday cant wait and I have a 240L fish tank table that will be used for gold fish in a few weeks.I want to add some Java fern and moss balls to both tanks but Im worried if there is no algae growth in the tanks that the plec and sucking loach wont get what they need?? I don't really want to have just plastic plants.Also, what other plants look good and will be 'safe' around the fish?
Why won't my aquarium plants grow?
I have a 55 gallon fish tank with a blue gourami some tetras and a common pleco... I have some anacharis, java moss, anubia and this other green plant thing forgot the name None of the plants are growing most are staying fairly the same except the java fern just disappeared over time or yellows. Anyways sorry for not getting to the point I'm multi tasking as I'm writing this, also I just added the java moss so I'll see how that goes, but why aren't my plants growing? The tanks been there with the plants for like 3 months now. Thanks. Oh yeah, I have fluorescent lights on both sides of the aquarium, don't know the watts.

I bought these plant bulbs at Walmart for your aquarium, and i was just a little nervous about putting them in my tank, because i wasn't sure if they were safe being from Walmart not a pet specializing store for my fish to eat. and i have had my fish for a long time, and i don't want them to die They are kind of like goldfish, and then one looks like a minnow, but idk the exact kinds of fish they are.

Will fungus medicine kill aquarium plants?
I'm planning on buying Mardel Maracyn Antibiotic for Fish to treat my cardinal tetras fungus, but I don't have a hospital tank. My tank is moderately heavily planted. Will it kill all of my plants?Also when using this, do I just need to take out the carbon? I have an Aquaclear 50 and it has the carbon,foam, and those little bio ball things. Do I take everything out or just the carbon? I have a pre filter cover too.

How do you calculate how many watts per gallon your aquarium has? I have a 55 gallon tank with two 6700k T5 21 watt bulbs, 1 6000k t5HO 39 watt bulb and 1 T5 HO 39W Roseate bulb. Would you just add the number of watts and divide by the gallons of your aquarium? I recently hooked up a Red Sea co2 Pro deluxe system with solenoid to my tank. How much co2 should be added to a heavily planted tank? Right now my measurement is the recommended 1 bar 15 psi on my regulator and about 1 bubble per second on my bubble counter. I do have a solenoid so i do not dose co2 when my lights are off. Should my reactor be shut off at night with the timer, or should it be kept running or does it even matter as long as no gas is being injected. Currently my drop checker is displaying blue indicating low levels of co2.
What are good Aquarium Plants?
Please be sure they are hardy, interesting, affordable and easy to care, They can be tall or short. Do not give me mosses only plants. Thank you.
